Dr. Cooper is a Professor of Biomedical Informatics. Dr. Cooper is a world-renowned expert in AI and medicine. With a BS in Computer Sciences from MIT and MD/PhD from Stanford University, Dr. Cooper is a pioneer in the field of causal Bayesian network discovery and its application in the biomedical domain. From 2012 -2017, Dr. Cooper served as Director of the National Center of Research Excellence in Big Data to Knowledge, supported by a $12 million NIH grant. He continues to serve as the Director of the Center for Causal Discovery. Dr. Cooper serves as a Scientific Advisor for DeepRx and provides scientific advice regarding machine learning, statistical analysis, and general AI in medicine.
